Hey everyone! I returned home tonite for some much deserved time off. I got home just in time to be a part of my Mastermind Group for Think and Grow Rich. We studied the second chapter on Desire tonite. Seems like perfect timing considering the last couple of days and discussions with people lately.

Tomorrow I am really going to dedicate my time towards completing some of the material for my millionaire challenge.

Short post today but I'm sure tomorrow will be a lot!

I just wanted to share some great news before I run out the door here. I made contact with my mortgage broker based out of Edmonton. I told him about the Rent to Own company I will be working with and he told me that who ever comes in to see him for a mortgage, and they don't qualify for whatever reason, he will send them to me to help them get into a new home.

He said on any given week he has to turn away between 10 and 50 people. 10 - 50 quality leads for me on any given week without so much as a single joule (SCIENCE NERD!) of energy expended by yours truly! How great is life right now?!

It's the weekend people... get out there and enjoy it... Do NOT spend it painting the living room or watching Survivor Man... get out there and enjoy life! IT'S A GREAT RIDE!
I wanted to make another post here today on a certain subject that I don't think I can emphasize enough. No... not on desire and mindset although, you're right I think that is just as important or maybe more so. I wanted to emphasize and really "drive home" the idea that, if anyone out there wants more information or to ask any questions about anything that I am doing, currently or previously, feel free to contact me!

Call me! Email me! Whatever! I am more than willing to help anyone who desires to be helped.

I had an old co worker call me last night and was quizzing me up (asking me questions, for any of those who don't work in the oilfield) about everything I have been up to. After speaking with him and answering questions he had, he let me go because he knows I'm a big baby once 9pm rolls around (give me a break, I'm up at 4am!).

Anyways, as I was saying, after he let me go, I felt completely energized. I really fed off of the fact that I was genuinely trying to help someone. I am willing to do whatever to help anyone out any way I can in regards to what I am working on. I can't really try to help someone with something I am not currently working on because I won't have any connections or know how on something I know nothing about. Now, if it's anything even related to what I have described over the last 23 days, and you want help, call me!
January 23rd already! That's crazy! January is going to be a thing of the past before we know it. When i look back at the last 23 days.... wow... I have come a long way in a short time. Last night I had my phone call with my mentor I have been set up with on the millionaire challenge. Her name is Diane Buckley and is just an incredible person. Her warmth radiates through the phone line. Great lady, great spirit. I'm really looking forward to working with her over the coming months.

She has be researching both Canadian and American markets. She described how were are going to look for positive cash flow properties and stay away from properties that she referred to as "running negative". As you may have already assumed, those are properties that run a negative cash flow or, in other words, you are losing money on.

She told me to look at entry level properties. These are properties such as bungalows or starter homes. She shared a fairly important stat with me, "76% of sales in the US are entry level homes, especially in correcting markets". This is due to people, who were unable to afford to buy before, and with the market dropping, they are now able to get into the market. The second reason for this stat, is that people who overextended themselves before, are now downsizing due to loss of jobs, lower wages and general market uncertainty. The third reason are people like myself and, hopefully if this inspires you to get involved, or otherwise referred to as, INVESTORS.

Investors do not want to spend for the higher end homes. Why would you?! You can get amazing deals that create a substantial monthly cash flow at $50,000 or less. So why spend $150,000 or more, even if it is still a spectacular deal?

Smart investors use leverage. Remember that word.... LEVERAGE! Leverage means to do more with less. Gain more profits with less money invested. That's what we will learn together over the next couple of months.

As I mentioned before, I have also joined forces with a company out on the West coast that helps renters achieve home ownership by setting up Rent to Own properties. We will offer the opportunity to those who qualify to be set up in a nice property, paying a monthly "rent" for the first 24 months and then have an option to buy that property on the back end of the agreement.

If you know anyone looking to purchase a home through this type of method, forward my email address onto them and I will supply them with any additional information.

On a side note:

I got paid yesterday and I bought back my exercise bike for $85 and a couple more pairs of underwear.... The inside outers were even getting a little far along for my liking!

So far in the charity pot:

$91

Make sure you vote for your favorite charity on right of the screen!
I had a conversation last night with an old friend which got me thinking last night. He asked me, "With everything that you are doing, what could a normal everyday person do to better their situation?"

At first I thought, "I am a normal everyday person, so everyone should be able to do what I'm doing and see the success that I have already." Upon further thought, I realized, he was actually asking, "Where does someone starting from scratch, who doesn't know what they should do, start from?"

I sat their last night, laying in bed, wide awake for a while pondering this question. For me, all along I knew what I wanted to pursue, which is why, I believe, everything has been happening so quickly for me. I knew I had, sorry, I KNOW I HAVE a desire and interest in real estate!I KNOW I HAVE an interest in health and wellness (hence the supplements)! I KNOW I HAVE a belief in the FHTM business model. I KNOW I HAVE a desire to help as many people as I can! I KNOW I HAVE what it takes to make everything I'm involved with succeed!

So after pondering this point a little further I realized the answer to what my friend was asking. What is the starting point? Where does a person start if their starting from scratch? What's the first step?

After thinking about it, I suppose I wasn't starting right from scratch when I started this project. I already had a fairly clear vision as to what I wanted and I already had created an emotional connection to that vision.... also called desire!

You're first step:

Get clear on what it is you want.

Step 1 Part B:

Tie emotion to that vision and feel like you already have it or are in possession of it

This is creating Desire. As I have written in the past, desire is necessary... no wait... desire is MANDATORY to create the dreams and achieve the goals in which you wish for. A wish is only that, a wish. Take that wish, mix it with a burning desire and it becomes an amazingly powerful thing and you really can have whatever, and do whatever you want!

So to answer your question Brandon, you need to get clear on what you want in life. You don't need to know "how" to get there, just know WHAT YOU WANT. Take that vision and give it emotion as you visualize what it is that you want for yourself and believe you already have it. You will be amazed at how fast events, circumstances and people seem to "magically" reposition themselves in your life to create the reality that you created for yourself.

It's funny how when you start thinking in this way that things happen at the exact right time to keep you on track. while I was thinking about this last night I was referred to this website which really helped me to organize my thoughts.

Are you inspired now?
A word to the wise:

Below is an email string which you should read... people are getting more and more sneaky and preying on people's desire to improve their way of life through "great opportunities".

Have a read...

Of course this seemed like a great opportunity but the way it was signed "Ms. Karen Wood Company Secretary" really sent sirens off in my head. So I researched the company and sent them an email directly through their website.

It read:

From: Scott Weller [mailto:sweller@tahk.ca]
Sent: Thursday, 22 January 2009 6:14 AM
To: jobs@bhpbilliton.com
Subject: hi

I just wanted to follow up on an email I received from someone who claims to be a part of your offices…

I have cut and paste the message below. With all the fraud and identity theft going on, I just wanted to cover my basis. Could you please notify as to whether or not this email is real or not?

Thank you

Scott Weller

Edmonton, AB

Canada

I then received an email late last night justifying my concern...

Greetings Scott,

As you have correctly surmised, the email communication that was sent to you is a hoax and has certainly not been sent by BHP Billiton.

Recently a number of hoax emails, claiming to be issued by senior executives and other company employees have appeared in circulation. These emails attempt to trick users into providing personal details in the belief that they will be contracted by BHP Billiton as an agent for the sale of our products and/or offered employment.

Thank-you for forwarding this onto us.

Regards,

Be careful when you are looking at potential opportunities... trust but then confirm!

I had another big triumph today as well. I have the first order of my own line of supplements hitting the manufacturing floor tomorrow morning.

That's right! MY OWN LINE OF SUPPLEMENTS!

They will be targeted towards the blue collar worker, mainly the male demographic but blue collar females may be just as attracted to the line as well. I'm not going to "spill the beans" just yet on how exactly I am going to accomplish this but, I wanted to share the news with you anyways.

In the coming weeks, I will share the launch idea behind this line with you all here first and there will be prize packs given away so, be sure to sign up to be a freedom friend to be eligible to receive one of these packs. I already have some cross promotion with other companies and businesses, so make sure to follow along in the weeks ahead.
Last night I had yet another opportunity present itself. I had a conference call with a company based out off Surrey, BC and they specialize in rent to own properties. They help train you adn set you up with all the resources needed to make sure you succeed in growing your wealth through rent to own deals. This company will allow me to add one more option to my quickly growing real estate investment options.

The idea behind a rent to own property is putting people who can't get a mortgage on their own, whether it be because of credit issues or what ever, into a NICE property. Not a run down old beater, but a nice, attractive property that they will be proud to call their home. IT begins with an upfront lease option fee and then a little larger monthly rent where a portion of that monthly rent gets put towards the down payment on the property at the end of the rental option.

While the renter is paying his monthly rent to you, you also set them up with a credit councilor to help them improve their credit during the time they are renting from you.

It's a win win situation for you as the owner/landlord and also the tenant/buyer.

If you know anyone looking for information on properties like this or if you are interested in learning how to create a monthly cashflow through rent to own properties, feel free to email me.

Last night I took my first step towards being a successful real estate investor. I had my orientation phone call which told me what to expect from my courses and mentorship with this millionaire challenge. There was a lot of focus on having a "millionaire mindset". A lot alike to that of which I have already touched on. They really focus on the importance of this.

They also had us write ourselves a personal cheque in the sum of one million dollars, dated one year from yesterday. They said it's not unreasonable to expect to cash it on January 19, 2010 if you follow the program and what the instructors, coaches and mentors tell you to do. They said they had one student make a million dollars in 4 months and 9 days! That's Crazy!

All you have to do is fuel that fire of desire on a daily basis and I believe you can accomplish this no matter who you are or where you are from.

Besides that, yesterday was fairly busy. We had the Oil and Gas Commission on site to check in on us which took a majority of the day. So much of the day, that I missed my Mastermind Group call last night. I hope to get in touch with someone from the group to catch up on what I missed.
I'd hate to miss out on the lessons learned in last nights class. The Mastermind group will put me aahead of the pack when it comes to mindset.

I am already receiving more and more real estate opportunities every day. I received about 10-15 properties to review, yesterday alone. It's really exciting to see the response I have received already and I'm still only getting started!

Tonite I have a class call and also another teleconference which is totally based around rent to own properties. I will post a summary of both calls tomorrow.

I made a post a few days ago on the MLM I joined called FHTM or Future Hi-Tech Marketing. UNBELIEVABLE! In one week, I have made $600 now. I am more pumped now to get the word out about it. The beauty part about it, is that you basically write yourself a %refund cheque by paying bills that you pay every month! Think about that.... why use a service from a provider when you pay the bill and they keep 100% of the money paid? Because that's the way it has always been?

With FHTM, they give you money back! Even if it's only 5% back, it's 5% you were not getting back before! They only offer about 10 different product lines to reps as of right now but there is talk of that product line growing fast in a short period of time. My friend who signed up 2 days before me has made $1500 to date... in 9 days!!!!!

This is very doable and you should feel great about introducing it to your friends and family. It's not a typical MLM that gets your money and then requires you to buy a magical juice every month. It's based on services and products you are already buying and will buy for years to come. So why not get a piece of the action?

With the uncertainty in teh world today people are looking for new ways to create new streams of cashflow. Well I can't think of an easier way to get started than this. They even help place people in your "downline" to take even more of the "work" off of your shoulders!

I work with a guy who told me that back in the day he had a chance to join a similar sounding business with an old buddy of his named Greg. He said that he wished he would have looking back. The funny thing is, his old friend is in my "upline". The person who I went to see FHTM presentation with is now friends with Greg and signed up with FHTM through Greg.

Greg is now clearing 5 figures a month and was recently given a Lexus from the company to thank him for intriducing so many people to this incredible home business opportunity. If it sounds like I have been brain washed, maybe I have but, it's only because I see the potential and that it is a genuine opportunity for people to better themselves financially.

Don't let yourself be the guy I work with, in a couple years, when everyone else is driving a Lexus.

Oh... and the guy I work with... He signed up last night! Without even seeing the presentation!

I thought I might touch on why I have recommended some of the books I have. Looking to the right of the posting, there is a menu for "Recommended Reads". These are a list of books I have read or, in the case of the Robert Allen books, I will be reading during this challenge I will be participating in. By the way, I start Monday! Super Stoked!!

Below I am going to offer a quick overview of the other three books that are listed as of today, January 16th, 2009! All three have inspired me in it's own way.

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki - This book got it all rolling for me. It got me thinking, "hmmm, why should I listen to other guys with full time jobs for advice on how to create wealth? They're still working, they are still struggling to make payments, they are still working FOR someone." Robert Kiyosaki describes the lessons he learned from his educated, POOR biological father and the lessons he learned from his worldly smart, less educated, RICH father (who was actually his best friends father).

He really focuses on trying to teach people that the world grows up not understanding how to make your money work for you. He changes your thoughts on money and how it can work for you to create wealth and freedom. Great book and very inspirational!

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill - If you have never heard of this book, other than the post I made about it, I'm sure you have heard of the book, "The Secret". "The Secret" introduced popular culture to the idea of the law of attraction. This law, in simple terms, states that thoughts become things. If you focus your thoughts on a certain outcome, the universe will arrange itself in the quickest and most logical way to make those thoughts a reality.

"Think and Grow Rich" would be where the premise of "The Secret" comes from. I would suggest starting with "The Secret" though and moving onto "Think and Grow Rich" from there.
Great Read fro creating that mental mindset one needs to create success and wealth in one's life.

"The 4-Hour Work Week" quite possibly became my favorite book recently. Author Timothy Ferriss gives you a step by step guide to automizing your life while cutting down on daily interuptions that interfere with your "dreamlines". His candid explanations of the thought patterns he has cultivated over the last 10 to 15 years of his life portray perfectly how, as he refers to them, the NEW RICH live their lives to the fullest.

If you want to travel the world on a regular basis and truly set yourself free without the desire to spend hours upon hours chasing a million dollars, Mr Ferriss creates a perfect blueprint to do just that. He also offers a bunch of additional information at his website at:

www.4hourworkweek.com

Timothy Ferriss also shows you how to systematically remove yourself from your office cubical and work from anywhere in the world, as long as you have an internet signal (He even shares a story about a guy who travels to the Arctic Ocean with a satellite phone to stay in contact with people back home).

"The 4-Hour Work Week" is as enlightening as Mr. Ferriss's use of the english lanuage is entertaining. If the ideas, and principles he shares are not enough, he also show's you how to become a speed reader as well but I definitely wouldn't "breeze" through this one!
