Tonight I am meeting up with a mortgage broker in town here to try and start building my "team" here in Dawson Creek. I hope she can offer some more information on the area and potential deals here. I will be calling a real estate agent from the area today and setting up a time to meet with her as well.
The idea is to surround yourself with people that will help you throughout the process of finding, securing and financing deals. If you are going to be following along and trying to do the same thing for yourself, I suggest networking with real estate agents, mortgage brokers, lawyers, bankers, contractors, and building inspectors. These people will come into play as you walk through the process of securing investment properties and they will also help you in networking with other people within the industry.
I also had an email from a mortgage broker in Edmonton yesterday who suggested a real estate agent I should speak with. I contacted him and I am awaiting a response.
After waking up today, I spent about 15 minutes laying in bed visualizing what my life will look like 6 months from now. With everything that has already happened in 2009, I so excited to see what happens! I feel a hole new level of energy in my life!
